It’s there or thereabouts a year since our first show, which was raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. This became an incredibly personal cause for the team at CFN, as within the short time that the event was being organised, our very close friend Greg Meal (the father of Marvin, Vicky’s son) was diagnosed with and died of cancer. Greg was just 44 years old. The loss at such a young age of a huge, vibrant character, loving father and beloved friend and family member will never make sense; but the Macmillan nurses were a massive help to both Vicky and Marvin in coming to terms with their grief.

Last July, we raised an enormous £5250 for Macmillan. We are thrilled to be fundraising for them once again on this show – they do incredible work helping so many people to live their lives through every stage of their cancer journey.

With just over a week until our boxers take to the ring, the current total has just passed the £2000 mark. We have a great team of boxers on board for this show, who have all signed up to push themselves to the limit in aid of Macmillan, and with your support, we would love to beat last year’s total.

We know there are so many good causes and requests for donations are frequent, but please give generously, both our team of boxers and Macmillan deserve all the support you can give them.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please don’t forget to check the Gift Aid box, ensuring that Macmillan receive more from your donation.
